Peel Badminton Club manages a comprehensive badminton sports program that emphasizes quality and safety:
- Multiple training programs to suit athletes at different stages of the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) pathway

- Coaches who are both knowledgeable and experienced badminton players, and either NCCP certified badminton coaches or pursuing certification

What about the City of Brampton’s “Badminton Skills and Drills” program?
The City of Brampton offers a “Badminton Skills and Drills” program for ages 6 to 14. For comparison, some of the pros and cons are listed below.
Pros:
- Low commitment (i.e., 1 hour per week for 9 to 13 weeks)
- Low cost
- Numerous community/recreation centre locations and schedules to choose from
- Specialized integration and inclusion program staff may be available
Cons:
- Only for beginners and novice level players
- Participant to instructor ratio (excluding volunteers and inclusion staff) can be as high as 10-to-1
- Participant to badminton court ratio as high as 10-to-1
- City does not require experienced badminton players or coaches when hiring
- Unlike the City’s Learn-to-Skate or Aquatics programs, there are no skills and drills report cards
